Assist LBS Patrons to their seats during LBS concerts. This volunteer opportunity requires the ability to go up and down stairs to get to the mezzanine and stand for extended periods of time. Volunteers arrive to the auditorium at 2:30pm on concert day and stay until the last patron has left the building (approximately 6pm).
Sell water, cookies and other concessions before the concert and during intermission at LBS concerts.
In the past, our volunteers have put on fundraisers to help raise general funds for LBS in addition to replenishing three scholarship accounts for our Youth Programs. Duties in event planning include, but are not limited to, scheduling, finding sponsors, compiling baskets for silent auction, creating table center pieces, selling event tickets, and volunteering at the actual event. Examples of past fundraisers include a Fall Fashion Show, Golf Tournament, a formal Tea, and Gala. Stay tuned to find out what fundraisers we'll be hosting in the 2023-2024 season!
LBS often participates in local community festivals along the Grand Strand, such as the North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick's Day Festival and the Little River Shrimpfest. We seek volunteers to help with set up, tear down, and working in shifts throughout the day to hand out brochures, answer questions, and man the booth.
The LBS office is always looking for dedicated volunteers to help with small projects like filing, preparing mailings, preparing tickets/orders, etc. Volunteers can come in on a regular schedule or choose to volunteer for special projects in the office.
