We believe that the key to growing the community’s love for the arts and music starts with the youth and the important influence of today’s teachers. That's why we created The Long Bay Symphony Music Teacher of the Year program - to recognize excellence in music education in the Grand Strand.

Each year, based on nominations received, teachers are chosen from each education level (elementary, middle, and high school) to receive recognition and a gift basket from Long Bay Symphony and its partners. We are happy to partner with the Carolina Master Chorale for the third year to present awards to choral teachers as well. Anyone (students, staff members, community members, etc.) can submit a nomination!

Nominations for the 2024-2025 Music Teacher of the Year Awards are NOW CLOSED! The nominations are being considered by our committee and the winners will be announced at our final concert this season, Movie Music Spectacular: The Music of John Williams on Sunday, May 4th.
